The financial institution reaffirms its commitment to an event that generates economic, social and sporting impact across the region

FUGA Penyagolosa Trails and Cajamar have renewed their sponsorship agreement, consolidating a partnership that now enters its third consecutive year of collaboration. The renewal reinforces the commitment of both organisations to a sporting project that is deeply connected to the territory and capable of generating a positive impact on the inland municipalities of the province of Castellón.

The agreement will allow both entities to continue developing initiatives that contribute to the sustainable growth of the event and create opportunities for the local area, while sharing values such as proximity, social commitment and support for local development.

Mar Martí, Cajamar’s Regional Director for Castellón, stated that: “Renewing our commitment to and sponsorship of Penyagolosa Trails is a way of putting our cooperative banking model into practice by giving back to our regions what they contribute to us.” She added that: “We are part of the race’s territory, not just a sponsor, and we therefore share our cooperative spirit and community vision through an event that showcases Castellón to the world.”

Speaking about the Penyagolosa Trails races, Martí said that they “bring people together, inspire them and create opportunities.” She also highlighted the organisation’s commitment to the environment, noting that it demonstrates “a special sensitivity towards the natural surroundings through which the race takes place.”

Beyond the sponsorship itself, we particularly value the trust and commitment they have shown throughout this period, supporting us in the growth and consolidation of the event.”

The collaboration between the two organisations will continue to take shape through a range of initiatives linked to FUGA Penyagolosa Trails, an event that brings together thousands of runners and supporters every year and has become one of Spain’s leading trail running events.
